Aims Of The Site
Today many organisations are suffering from change fatigue but change is not something that can be avoided in business. As we emerge from a deep recession coupled with major shifts in the power of global economic regions, competition will intensify in most industry sectors. Many leading CEOs recognise change is not a core competency, nor one that can be institutionalised. On average only 30% of change projects succeed today. The aim of this site is to provide a place for debate and comment in this challenging field of strategy execution. It will provide a place for management, professionals and practitioners to exchange and to share their ideas.
There Is An Answer…
One of the biggest frustrations for practitioners in the field is the reliance many businesses place on methodology to solve the problem of change. It is one component but quite simply on its own it doesn’t work. Best practice in some form or another cannot be adopted as a panacea without yielding disappointing results. Many of the large technology-led programmes of the last decade have failed to deliver expectations and certainly have not transformed customer experience or the way an organisation works. We believe there is an answer. It lies in leadership, pragmatic but determined adoption of a few core principles, and a willingness to confront the real issues creating inertia in the organisation. Our expectation if you join the debate on this Blog, is that you will unearth some “gems” that could light up your business, re-energise your change efforts and inspire you to deliver.
